IT WAS a case of third time lucky and in a big way
for the ADFA Rams Football Club as they annihilated
ANU in the AFL Canberra Division 2 grand final on
After being unbeaten all season, the Rams had a
fairytale ending as the team avenged its unexpected
losses in the last two grand finals by demolishing the
Australian National University team by 102 points.
While quietly confident going into the big game at
Manuka Oval, player of the match OCDT Jack Lush
said unlike last year the team got off to a good start.

Harman came out and beat us early and didn't allow
us to gain the ascendancy," OCDT Lush said.

keep their door of opportunity closed."
Vice-captain MIDN John Gregory, MIDN Zachary
Segger and SBLT Luke Marconi played pivotal roles

to 4.1. (25) lead at half time.
The third quarter left the result in little doubt with
OCDT Emmett Bourke kicking two goals set up by
the clearances of MIDN Gregory and a rebound off
the half-back line. At the final change, ADFA had a
The relentless onslaught continued in the final
term with Rams running out winners 23.14 (152) to
SBLT Marconi was solid down back as he continu-
ally repelled repeated ANU attacks, and vice-captain
MIDN Gregory dominated.
The ADFA Rams are looking for new players and coaches for
their 2013 season. They have teams in AFL Canberra Division
2 and 3 in the men's competition and also in the women's
competition. For more information, email john.gregory@
