TO promote dental health week
from August 6-10, a challenge was
raised for all ADF cooks to submit
dental friendly recipes to the inau-

mitted by Navy, Air Force and
Army cooks and a cook-off was
held at HMAS Stirling junior sail-

the top five recipes selected by the

Service were LCDR Kim Leong,
of ADF dental school, nutrition-
ist Bianka Probert and WO1 Peter
Clothier, of Ar my catering.
According to LCDR Leong,
judging was enjoyable but not easy.
"It was a very difficult process
in judging the recipes," she said.
"It took a long time to sort and
process all of them.
"I totally enjoyed the judging
of the recipes and it has given me
some ideas to try at home too."
LCDR Leong said the challenge
brought out friendly competition
among ADF cooks and helped pro-
mote an important message.
"It is important to let peo-
ple know that to have good dental
health not only involves visiting the
dentist annually and brushing and
flossing regularly, it also involves
what you eat and drink," she said.
ABCK Lana Hendry, of HMAS
Stirling, won the most dentally

"We need to take care of our
teeth as we are constantly tasting
