TWO new websites are being
piloted to provide ex-Ser-
vice personnel with access
to vital health resources.
The Wellbeing Toolbox and
Touchbase websites have been devel-
oped specifically for ex-Service per-
sonnel and transitioning personnel, as
well as their families and friends, to
help them face the challenges of mov-
ing from military to civilian life.

THE Navy will release up to 20 sailors
and officers for study in 2012 under
the revised Civil School Scheme (CSS)
Successful applicants will be able
to undertake studies in the following
streams: health services management;
strategic risk management; strategic
human resource management; security
(including investigations); logistics;
information technology or information
systems; leadership and management;
capability and project management (this
includes the Capability Technology
Applications for these full-time study
opportunities as well as part-time or own-
time study release for semester two this
year are due on April 30.
Key changes in the CSS include the
requirement for candidates to link study
to career plans, closing dates and the
reinstatement of the Education Board
from this year. Other important informa-
tion for applicants:
To be eligible, applicants must com-
plete initial employment training and
have no outstanding service obligation
in their current specialisation qualifi-

age or the end of their current fixed
period of service.
The Education Board may identify the
most appropriate institution or course.
This is based primarily on cost-effec-
tiveness. If an appropriate, less expen-
sive course is available, applicants
